Escalante Heritage Center

The Escalante Heritage Center is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to preservation of the histories of the Hole in the Rock trek and the settlement of the towns of Escalante and Boulder.

Escalante Interagency Visitors Center

The Escalante Interagency Visitor Center is operated by the Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service and National Forest Service. The center offers trip planning for the Escalante Grand Staircase National Monument, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, and the Dixie National Forest along with featuring exhibits on ecology in the local area.

Escalante Petrified Forest State Park

Escalante Petrified Forest State Park, located along Wide Hollow Reservoir just outside Escalante City, is a full of petrified wood, plant and marine fossils, and 100-million-year old dinosaur bones. Visitors can enjoy hiking trails, boating, fishing, ice fishing, swimming, and wildlife viewing. This 1,000 acre park also has a full service campground that can accommodate large camping groups.
